So I decided to accept my boss's offer to stay on at work for an additional two weeks to finish helping with the transition of our dept. to theirs in Indianapolis. Am I too nice? I could have taken my severance tomorrow and high-tailed it out of here to the bank. But instead seeing how much stuff there is to do I want to be a loyal employee (regardless of the fact that i'm laid off) and help.
There is another person they asked to stay on for a month, another moving to our customer service dept, and another actually moving to the Indy office. The other 3 (and 2 temps) are gone tomorrow. Including the individual that I can't stand. My team leader. Granted, she's generally a nice person, we just don't work well together on some levels. So it will be nice and peaceful without her here.
So am I too nice? I didn't get extra money, just my regular pay. I figure that it is better for me to be employed for a couple more weeks while looking and applying for more jobs. And I do feel good about helping.
